Job summary

Carrier is seeking a motivated BMS Technician based in Queensland to join our onsite team. You'll gain hands-on experience servicing, commissioning, and optimising BMCS/DDC control systems, supported by experienced engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an HVAC/mechatronics/electrical qualification with a passion for building management technologies. You will work independently and with others, participate in safety briefings, and contribute to documentation and customer support.

Qualifications

• A qualification (or working towards) in HVAC, Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related field.
• Interest or foundational knowledge in Building Management Systems or HVAC.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, preventative maintenance, and commissioning of BMCS/DDC control systems
• Support software configuration, testing, calibration, and basic programming
• Work closely with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Help ensure all site work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and project coordination
• Participate in site meetings, safety briefings, and ongoing training
• Provide support to customers and internal teams when required
