Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled BMS Technician to join our Melbourne Service Team. You will maintain and optimise Building Management Systems across a portfolio of commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and critical infrastructure.

With 3+ years in Building Automation, you will leverage platforms like Metasys and Siemens, delivering preventive maintenance and small to medium projects while ensuring safety and high service standards. A current Australian driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Building Management Systems or Building Automation.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Metasys, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, Alerton, Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, Schneider EcoStruxure or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems.
• Electrical Licence (Disconnect/Reconnect) or equivalent.
• Experience with IP networking, communications protocols, and system integration.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent customer engagement and communication skills.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

About the Role

Due to continued growth across Victoria, we're seeking a skilled BMS Technician to join our Melbourne Service Team.

This role will see you working across a portfolio of commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, critical infrastructure, industrial sites, and other complex customer environments. You'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, optimising, and supporting Building Management Systems that play a critical role in our customers' operations.

You’ll enjoy a high level of autonomy while being backed by one of the strongest technical support networks in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC control systems
• Deliver small/medium projects
• Diagnose and resolve system, network and communication faults
• Deliver preventive maintenance and reactive service activities
• Optimise system performance and identify improvement opportunities

What We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from technicians who have experience working within Building Automation, Building Controls, HVAC Controls, Electrical Controls, or related industries.

Ideally You Will Have

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Building Management Systems or Building Automation
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Metasys, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Delta Controls, Alerton, Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, Schneider EcoStruxure or similar systems
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical services
• Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect Licence (or equivalent)
• Experience with IP networking, communications protocols, and system integration
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Excellent customer engagement and communication skills
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
