Job summary

Underground Experts Pty Ltd – North Geelong VIC is seeking field crew members with blast painting experience to join a growing team. You will work on corrosion protection, pipe painting, and general maintenance, with a 14 days on/7 days off roster and potential overtime.

Starting salary ranges from AU$80k to AU$85k depending on experience and qualifications, with a focus on safety and work-life balance. Expect interstate travel across Victoria as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years blast painting or related painting experience.
• Valid, full (unrestricted) Drivers License.
• HR License and White Card required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Paint pipes for service identification per codes and requirements.

The Opportunity

Operators and labourers with Blast Painting experience

Key Responsibilities

• Corrosion protection: applying protective coatings to metal pipes to prevent rust and corrosion, particularly for exterior or moisture-prone environments.
• Identification: painting pipes for clear identification of services in accordance with industry codes and contractual requirements.
• General painting and maintenance of manufacturing warehouse
• Fix and maintain sewer mains and storm water assets
• Operate CCTV equipment in underground pipes for pre assessment and post review
• Manufacturing of the new pipe liners
• Maintaining plumbing equipment
• Operating and maintaining pipe cutting systems
• Residential and commercial connection junction sealing and patching
• Conducting confined space entry
• Prioritising Health & Safety protocols

***Able to work away from home for 2 weeks at a time across Victoria and interstate. ***

• 3+ years blast painting or related painting experience
• Experience in live tapping, vacuum excavation or Hydro jet clearing advantageous
• Valid, full (unrestricted) Drivers License
• HR License
• OHS Construction Induction Card (White Card) required or ability to obtain
• Confined Space Entry is desirable but not essential (training provided)
• Strong work ethic with a growth and learning mindset
• Physically fit enough to do some heavy lifting with loading and unloading materials and equipment
