Job summary

Foundation Civil and Mining in Traralgon, VIC seeks an Industrial Painting & Blasting Supervisor to lead in-field painting and blasting activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and client standards are met.

The role requires supervising teams, coordinating crews, and maintaining QA/JSAs, with emphasis on coating application and surface preparation techniques. Strong safety culture and readiness to adapt to client priorities are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Industrial Painter/Blaster roles.
• Painting qualification as listed in the education section.
• Construction Induction required.
• High Risk Work Licence - EWP, Work at Heights and Confined Space certifications.
• Valid driver's licence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret isometrics, drawings and specifications.

• Proven experience supervising teams and coordinating multiple work crews.
• Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead daily pre-starts and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture.
• Conduct and facilitate risk assessments, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), prior to the commencement of work and review them regularly for ongoing activities
• Complete all relevant QA monitoring, recording and documentation
• Demonstrate strong industrial painting experience and technical knowledge in surface preparation, protective coatings and application techniques
• Adapt quickly to changing customer requirements and operational priorities

Foundation Civil & Mining are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Industrial Painting & Blasting Supervisor to become a part of our growing team.

The purpose of this position is to provide in-field leadership and support to workgroups to ensure painting and blasting activities are completed safely, efficiently and to a standard that meets or exceeds the client's requirements.

Key responsibilities

Proven experience supervising teams and coordinating multiple work crews

Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
