Job summary

Roc-Drill Pty Ltd is seeking skilled Blast Hole Drillers to join our team at Ravenswood Gold Mine QLD. This full-time position focuses on drilling blast holes to prepare sites for mining activities, with a 14/14 FIFO roster.

You will operate modern drilling equipment, ensure holes meet depth and diameter specs, and uphold safety and environmental standards while supporting the broader mining team.

Qualifications

• Experience operating top hammer drills (T40/T45) or down-the-hole (D60/D65) in mining.
• Solid understanding of health and safety protocols in mining environments.
• Ability to provide referees who can attest to attitude and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of drilling equipment to drill blast holes.
• Ensure drill holes are positioned and sized to specifications.
• Adhere to safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with the mining team to optimise drilling operations.

About the role

Roc-Drill Pty Ltd is seeking skilled Blast Hole Drillers to join our team at Ravenswood Gold Mine QLD. This full-time position is a critical role within our Mining - Drill & Blast operations, with responsibilities focused on drilling blast holes to prepare sites for mining activities.

What you'll be doing

• Operating a range of modern drilling equipment to drill blast holes
• Ensuring drill holes are accurately positioned and to the required depth and diameter specifications
• Adhering to all safety procedures and environmental regulations
• Collaborating with the wider mining team to optimise drilling operations
• Providing on-the-job training and guidance to less experienced drill operators

What we're looking for

• Experience on top hammer drills (ideally Epiroc T40 or T45)or down-the-hole hammer drills (ideally Epiroc D60 or D65) or experience working within the mining industry on similar equipment.
• A high understanding and awareness of occupational health and safety
• Two recent, relevant referees who can vouch for your attitude
• Be able to consistently pass drug and alcohol testing
• Be able to obtain a current national police clearance
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical
