Job summary

Stagg Drilling & Blasting is seeking an on-site drill operator in Rockhampton to operate Sandvik DPi1500/DP1100 Top Hammer drills across quarry, coal and hard rock mines. The role supports the blast crew during loading, tying in, and firing shots, and requires performing routine maintenance of the drills.

The ideal candidate holds a Certificate III in Drilling Operations, a current Australian driver’s license (Standard 11) or willingness to obtain SSAN, and is prepared for a 7/7 roster with

Qualifications

• Australian driver’s license – Standard 11.
• SSAN eligibility or willingness to obtain.
• Certificate III in Drilling Operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Sandvik DPi1500, DP1100 Top Hammer Drills in Quarry, Coal & Hard Rock Mines.
• Support blast crew with loading, tying in & firing of shots.
• Perform basic maintenance on Top Hammer Drills.
