Job summary

Gaythorne RSL is seeking enthusiastic Bistro and Bar Attendants to join our team in Brisbane. In this casual role, you will deliver exceptional service to members and guests in the bar and gaming areas, with flexible hours to suit your lifestyle.

You will handle beverages, assist with cash duties, and ensure compliance with liquor laws and gaming regulations. A positive, guest-focused attitude and RSA/RSG certification are essential for success in this busy venue.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or gaming is preferred.
• RSA & RSG certification required.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in bistro and bar.
• Experience with Keno & TAB is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

In this casual position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our valued members and guests in both our bar and gaming areas. What you'll be doing

• Serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Ensuring the bar and gaming areas are well-stocked and maintained
• Assisting with cash handling and balancing duties
• Adhering to all relevant liquor licensing, responsible service of alcohol, and gaming regulations
• Providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment for our members and guests

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or gaming industry
• Full availability through Christmas & New Year season is requirement
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible Service of Alcohol & Gaming (RSA & RSG) certification
• Flexible and adaptable to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Minimum of 6 months experience in bistro and bar
• Experience with Keno & TAB is required but not essential
