Queensland Health is seeking a Biomedical Technician Advanced to deliver specialised technical services across health technology equipment, including installation, commissioning, complex repairs, and preventive maintenance.
You will apply advanced technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex issues, supervise teams, coordinate service delivery, and drive improvements in technical standards and staff development across the state.
As the Biomedical Technician Advanced, you will deliver specialised technical services for a diverse range of health technology equipment, including installation, commissioning, complex repairs, and preventive maintenance. You will apply advanced technical expertise to independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment and system issues, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of critical healthcare technologies. In this leadership-focused role, you will coordinate service delivery activities, manage work priorities and schedules, oversee external service providers, and ensure compliance with service level agreements, policies, and technical standards. You will also provide technical supervision and support to team members, contribute to staff development and performance management, and build strong relationships with clinical staff, suppliers, service providers, and key stakeholders. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will play an important role in driving continuous improvement through the development of technical standards, procedures, training programs, and workplace practices at both a local and state-wide level.
