Job summary

Clarence Valley Council is seeking a biodiversity-focused professional to support the delivery and implementation of biodiversity management projects protecting environmental values in the Clarence Valley.

You will deliver tasks under the Biodiversity Strategy, review policies, and engage with government agencies, community groups, and the public. There is also potential to contribute to education programs through online platforms.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of biodiversity, environmental or ecological issues.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver biodiversity projects related to flora and fauna, NRM or related discipline.
• General computer literacy including basic proficiency in Word and internet/email; ability to use GIS programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver biodiversity management projects in line with the Biodiversity Strategy.
• Review policies and procedures related to biodiversity work.
• Liaise with government agencies, community groups and the public as required.
• Contribute to delivery of education programs via online platforms.
