Job summary

Clarence Valley Council in the Northern Rivers invites applications for a Biodiversity Officer to assist delivery of biodiversity management projects protecting environmental values. You will liaise with government agencies, community groups and the public, review policies, and support education programs through online platforms.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management, strong biodiversity knowledge, a current driver's licence, and

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management.
Detailed knowledge of biodiversity, environmental or ecological issues.
Current Drivers Licence.
Experience delivering biodiversity projects related to flora and fauna, NRM or related discipline.
General computer literacy including Word, internet and email; GIS proficiency.

Responsibilities

Assist with delivery of biodiversity management projects.
Liaise with government agencies, community groups and the public; support education programs online.
