Job summary

KUSCH in Brisbane is seeking a BIM Technician to support prefabricated and structural design projects, working with structural, mechanical and electrical teams and architects to ensure seamless BIM coordination. This Brisbane-based role offers hybrid working arrangements.

You’ll produce high-quality drafting for concrete, steel and timber, develop analytical models in Revit, manage drawing packages and build BIM libraries.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Design, Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of Australian standards.
• Previous BIM experience.
• Strong proficiency in Revit.
• Cloud-based modelling experience is a plus.
• Exposure to mechanical pipework and structural steel.
• Strong attention to detail and computer literacy.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Collaborative communication style and proactive attitude.
• Willingness to learn Inventor.
• Interest in Navis and Revizto for collaboration.

The Role

As a BIM Technician, you’ll support the delivery of prefabricated and structural design projects, working closely with structural, mechanical and electrical teams and architects to ensure seamless coordination.

This role is based in Brisbane, with hybrid working arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality structural drafting for prefabrication and design projects
• Coordinate our BIM models with multiple other disciplines
• Build client demand for BIM services by engaging proactively with external stakeholders
• Develop analytical models in Revit and interface with structural design software
• Prepare detailed drawings for concrete, steel, timber and masonry
• Manage drawing packages to meet project requirements
• Work within the team to build and maintain parametric families and BIM libraries
• Improve workflows and drafting efficiency
• Troubleshoot design and modelling issues

About You

• Diploma in Design, Engineering or related field
• Understanding of Australian standards
• Previous BIM experience
• Strong proficiency in Revit, cloud-based modelling experience is a plus
• Exposure to mechanical pipework, structural steel and fabrication detailing (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent computer literacy
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Collaborative communication style and a positive, proactive attitude
• Willingness to learn Inventor (experience highly regarded)
• Interest in collaboration tools such as Navis and Revizto
