Job summary

FK Australia in Sydney seeks a BIM Leader to elevate BIM and Revit capabilities across our studio. You will lead the development, adoption, and optimisation of BIM workflows to deliver outstanding architectural solutions.

You will upskill teams, standardise processes, and drive efficiency across projects, positioning FK as an industry leader in BIM and design technology. Right to work in Australia required.

Qualifications

• Advanced user of Revit and BIM software.
• Experience developing and implementing BIM standards and frameworks.
• Experience with clash detection software and BIM interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, mentoring, and training in Revit across the team.
• Develop and implement a framework to enhance BIM adoption and interoperability.
• Lead continuous improvement of FK’s BIM delivery and integration with software/hardware platforms.
• Establish and enforce high-quality drawing and documentation standards.
• Optimize design processes and deliverables through BIM workflows.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of software templates to uphold BIM standards.
• Manage and enhance FK’s Revit Library for efficiency and productivity.
• Identify and resolve BIM-related project risks and escalate when needed.
• Identify skills gaps and coordinate external training opportunities.

About the Role

As our BIM Manager, you will lead the ongoing development, adoption, and optimisation of BIM and design technology across our studio. Ensuring that our teams have the tools, knowledge, and support to deliver outstanding architectural solutions. With a long-term vision of positioning FK as an industry leader in BIM and Revit, you’ll play a crucial role in upskilling our teams, standardising workflows, and optimising efficiency across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, mentoring, and training in Revit across the team.
• Develop and implement a framework to enhance BIM adoption and interoperability.
• Lead the continuous improvement of FK’s BIM delivery, ensuring seamless integration with software and hardware platforms.
• Establish and enforce high-quality drawing and documentation standards.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance FK’s Revit Library, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Proactively identify and resolve project risks associated with BIM models, escalating when necessary.
• Identify skills gaps and coordinate professional development opportunities, including external training providers.
• Support the transition of ArchiCAD-documented projects into BIM workflows.
• Monitor and oversee all Revit projects, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality outcomes.

What You'll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit.
• Experience using clash detection software.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing BIM standards, strategies, and frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• A solutions-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
