Job summary

Queensland Health's Metro South Health is seeking a senior data engineer to lead design, development and optimisation of enterprise data platforms, reporting and cloud solutions across the health service. You will transform complex healthcare data into trusted insights while guiding BI developers and collaborating with clinical and executive stakeholders.

You will champion scalable data architectures, ETL pipelines and modern cloud technologies such as Azure, Databricks and AWS.

Qualifications

Bring strong SQL, data engineering and ETL expertise across modern data environments.
Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and/or AWS.
Enjoy designing scalable data solutions, pipelines and reporting that make complex information easier to understand and use.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development and optimisation of enterprise data engineering, reporting, integration and cloud data platforms across Metro South Health.
Collaborate with clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to transform complex data into trusted intelligence.
Guide BI developers, drive technical innovation and strengthen the Health Service's data capabilities.
Mentor others, champion best practice and embrace new technologies and ways of working.
