Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Service Technician to join our client’s team in Thomastown, Victoria. The role balances workshop-based work with field service at client sites, keeping high-speed packaging lines and winery processing equipment operating efficiently.

You will diagnose electrical faults, troubleshoot pumps and mechanical systems, and modify PLC programs to optimise performance. Occasional regional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical background with a trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Able to read and interpret electrical diagrams, P&IDs and technical manuals.
• Experience with pump and equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Testing, repairs, pre-commissioning and maintenance of equipment in the workshop.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on beverage machinery.
• Connect to, diagnose and modify PLC programs to optimise equipment performance.
• Service, rebuild and troubleshoot various pumps, including centrifugal, positive displacement and rotary lobe pumps.
• Maintain fluid transfer systems and associated equipment.
• Travel to regional client sites for installations, commissioning and maintenance.
