Job summary

Red Hawk Casino seeks a Barback to support bartenders in the casino bar and restaurant areas. You will assist with stocking, cleaning, garnishes, ice, and shifts coverage during breaks. Work as part of a team ensuring clean, sanitary service areas and adherence to health and safety rules.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 21, and some bar experience; knowledge of POS systems is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for guest service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months experience working in a bar or lounge as barback servicing the bartender preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of Point-of-Sale systems.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Cleans beverage areas in restaurant and casino bar stations.
• Provides and replenishes beverage stock and supplies.
• Removes empty bottles and trash.
• Prepares necessary fruit for use as garnishes.
• Receives issues and keeps necessary records of liquor store and supplies.
• Serves as back up for bartenders when necessary.
• Promotes outstanding guests services on a continual basis.
• Participates as a team member with bartenders, utilities, servers, supervisors and all other pertinent team members in ensuring an efficient operation.
• Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.
• Assists and covers breaks for bartender when applicable.
• Replenishes ice as needed.
• Anticipates needs of bartenders and guests.
• Follows all CARE guidelines to help assist with guests’ responsible consumption.
• Sweeps and mops bar and beverage service areas daily.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
