Job summary

SEEK is seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker / Joiner to work across manufacturing and onsite installation of bespoke joinery projects. You will play a key role from manufacturing to final fit, reading drawings, and delivering high-quality results on diverse installations such as interactive exhibits and museums.

Ideal candidates bring strong cabinetmaking and fabrication skills, experience with CNC components, and a professional client-facing approach for site work and regional installations.

Qualifications

• Experience in cabinetmaking, joinery, shopfitting or exhibition installations
• Strong manufacturing and installation skills
• Sound understanding of cabinet construction and joinery methods
• Experience operating commercial woodworking machinery
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional presentation and attitude on client sites

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing custom joinery
• Reading and interpreting detailed drawings
• Mitred joinery and precision assembly work
• Curved laminating, forming and fabrication
• Manufacturing shaped and built-up components
• Applying laminates and decorative finishes
• Cabinet assembly and hardware installation
• Cutting and processing panels
• Operating panel saws and edge banders
• Working with CNC-machined components
• General workshop machining and fabrication
• Quality control and final checking
• Preparing projects for transport and installation
• Onsite joinery installation and fit-off
• Scribing, levelling, fixing and finishing
• Resolving site and fitment issues
• Working alongside builders, clients and other trades
• Occasional regional and interstate installation work
