Murrumbidgee Local Health District seeks a Bereavement Support Social Worker or Psychologist to provide compassionate bereavement support across the palliative care journey. The role sits in the Specialist Palliative Care team and includes information, psycho-education, and connection to counselling services for patients, families and carers.

The ideal candidate will hold AHPRA registration or AASW membership, with experience in bereavement and end-of-life contexts, and a valid Class C licence

Competenze

Bereavement, palliative care or end-of-life counselling experience.
Eligible for AASW membership or registered with AHPRA as a psychologist.
Current Class C driver's licence with willingness to travel for work.

Mansioni

Coordinated bereavement support to patients, families and carers.
Provide psycho-education for bereaved individuals affected by life-limiting illness.
Increase awareness of available bereavement resources including counselling.
