Murrumbidgee Local Health District seeks a Bereavement Support Social Worker or Psychologist to provide compassionate bereavement support to patients, families and carers throughout their palliative care journey. The role sits within the Specialist Palliative Care team.

The ideal candidate will be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or registered with AHPRA as a psychologist. Travel for work and current Class C driver’s licence are expected.

Formación

• Experience as a counselling clinician in bereavement, palliative care or end of life contexts.
• Ability to provide education and training to health professionals in grief, loss and bereavement and clinical supervision.
• Current Class C Drivers licence with willingness to travel for work.

Responsabilidades

• Provide coordinated bereavement support to patients, family and carers throughout the palliative care journey.
• Provide information and psycho-education for bereaved patients, family and carers about available services.
