Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a permanent, full-time Relationship Manager Gift in Wills to join the Redfern, NSW team covering south Sydney. The role focuses on securing Gifts in Wills, stewarding bequestors, and supporting social development programs through strategic bequest relationships.

You will work within a dynamic fundraising team, reporting to the Team Leader, with hybrid WFH arrangements. Strong relationship-building and sales experience in NFP contexts are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced and complex nonprofit environment.
• Drive to achieve results with a focus on meeting budgets, KPIs and targets.
• Experience in best-practice sales techniques including empathy selling.
• Ability to liaise with legal and finance professionals.
• Ability to communicate and empathise with high net worth individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Build a pipeline of potential bequestors through solid account management and sales principles to grow the gifts in wills portfolio.
• Secure, build and manage relationships with bequestors and intermediaries such as solicitors and explain the organisation’s impact.
• Achieve financial and non-financial targets and KPI’s.
• Develop and implement engagement strategies and communication plans.
• Represent the organisation at networking functions, industry forums and meetings, guiding supporters through events and appeals.
