Job summary

BHP is seeking safety-conscious, technically skilled Belt Splicer to join the WAIO Conveyor Field Services Team in Pilbara. You will work on an 8/6-7/7 or 2/2 FIFO roster from Perth, traveling to WAIO sites to repair belts and respond to breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in conveyor belt repair and maintenance.
• Certificate III in Polymer Processing preferred.
• Strong safety focus and adherence to policy.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Repair conveyor belts and components across multiple sites.
• Respond to belt breakdown events and incidents.
• Complete belt preps and flaking tasks.
• Work across weekly and shutdown windows.
• Operate across six WAIO sites.

About the Role

We’re currently seeking safety-conscious, technically skilled Belt Splicer’s to join our WAIO Conveyor Field Services Team. Working with a close-knit, proactive workforce that values diversity and innovation, you will work on an 8/6-7/7 or 2/2 roster FIFO from Perth. You will be required to travel across all our WAIO sites and assets as apart of our Field Service Team.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Repairs of conveyor belts
• Responding to breakdown events
• Completing belt preps and flaking
• Working in both weekly and shutdown space
• Working across 6 sites

About You

• Qualified Belt Splicer (Certificate III in Polymer Processing) (desired)
• Recent experience in conveyor belt repair and maintenance (essential)
• A strong Work Ethic and a Team Player
• A willingness to learn and develop to align with BHP policies and procedures
