Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician/ Belt Splicer to join our team in Queensland. The role combines workshop and field-based work, splicing, maintaining and repairing conveyor belting across diverse sites and equipment.

FIFO/DIDO options may apply, with a permanent full-time position available. Ideal candidates have background in Mining, Quarrying, Mineral Processing or Heavy Industry, strong diagnostic skills and a professional customer-facing approach.

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple splicing methods.
• Trade qualification or equivalent industry experience (highly regarded but not essential).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems (desirable).
• Professional approach when dealing directly with customers.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Splicing, maintaining and repairing conveyor belts and associated equipment.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and repairs.
• Diagnosing and fault-finding belt and conveyor system issues.
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs onsite and in the workshop.
• Carrying out breakdown response and troubleshooting.
• Communicating directly with customers and providing professional onsite service.
• Supporting general workshop duties and keeping equipment maintained to a high standard.
• Ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and ready for customers.

$55 – $70ph + Company Vehicle

We currently have multiple splicing vacancies over QLD, including FIFO/DIDO roles and local work.

We're looking for an experienced Belt Splicer / Field Service Technician to join the teams in hands-on workshop and field-based roles, splicing, maintaining and repairing conveyor belting across a range of sites and equipment.

This is a great opportunity for a splicer from a Mining, Quarrying, Mineral Processing, Heavy Industry or Conveyor Belt background who is looking for a varied role and the chance to develop their skills across different sites and belt types.
