Job summary

Lane Rope, based in Toowoomba and surrounding areas, seeks an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver high-quality, evidence-based behaviour support under NDIS guidelines. Collaborate with families, care teams and professionals to improve quality of life and promote independence.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Social or Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Education or a related field.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS, disability sector and Disability Services Standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills within a clinical or health context.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Willing to learn, grow and seek guidance when needed.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.
  • Respectful when working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • Current drivers licence.
  • Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

As a registered NDIS provider, they deliver a wide range of tailored supports with a strong emphasis on positive behaviour support. Their team includes experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners and Psychologists who are committed to helping individuals, families and support networks achieve greater wellbeing, stability and independence. Central to their practice is the belief in empowering people with disabilities to go beyond diagnosing problems, resolving barriers and restoring dignity.

For more than a decade, this organisation has been recognised for providing high quality, clinically informed services. They take a proactive and responsive approach, working closely with families, professionals and community supports to ensure individuals receive the highest standard of care. They are now looking to add an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to their dynamic team in Toowoomba and surrounding areas to help deliver the high standard of care they are known for.

About the Role and your Responsibilities:

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, reporting to the Managing Directors, you will support clients by developing and delivering high quality, evidence based behaviour support. You will collaborate with families, support teams and other professionals to ensure holistic care and improved quality of life. Some of your responsibilities will include:
