Job summary

Neta Care Holistic Health Services is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. You will assess, plan, and deliver positive behaviour support for individuals with complex needs, designing personalised plans and collaborating with families and allied health professionals to promote independence and dignity.

Qualifications

  • NDIS Commission approval/suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Science, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing behaviour support plans.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques, functional behaviour assessments, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with clients who have complex disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical services with a sustainable Therapy Hours (25 hours/week).
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments to identify causes and triggers of behaviours of concern.
  • Develop individualised behaviour support plans tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to reduce behaviours of concern and promote positive alternatives.
  • Work directly with clients and stakeholders to provide training, modelling, and support in the application of behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to families and caregivers, ensuring they are equipped with strategies to manage behaviour and support client goals.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support plans, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client progress and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and developments in behaviour support.

Summary

Neta Care Holistic Health Services is seeking dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will assess, plan, and deliver positive behaviour support for individuals with complex needs. You will design and implement personalised behaviour support plans, collaborate closely with families and allied health professionals, and provide strategies that promote independence, dignity, and improved quality of life.

To be successful in this role, you must be approved (or eligible for approval) as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Commission, in line with the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date with best practices, new research, and developments in behaviour support and related fields.
Qualifications
  • NDIS Commission approval/suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioural Science, or related field is preferred (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing behaviour support plans, preferably in a clinical, educational, or community-based setting.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques, functional behaviour assessments, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to document and report effectively.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to engage with individuals with complex behavioural and developmental needs.
  • Experience working with clients who have complex disabilities.
