Ability Action Australia is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner of all experience and suitability levels. Qualifications

  • A degree qualification as an allied health professional.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach, with drive to improve outcomes.
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
  • Owning the assessment, development and delivery of evidence-based support plans within a complex support environment
  • Driving meaningful goals and measurable outcomes, using a positive behaviour support framework
  • Ensuring plans reflect each participant’s goals, strengths and what matters most to them
  • Building the capability, confidence and understanding of those supporting participants in their day-to-day lives
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced practitioners

  • Ensuring plans reflect each participant’s goals, strengths and what matters most to them
  • Building the capability, confidence and understanding of those supporting participants in their day-to-day lives
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced practitioners
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:
