Job summary

Burpengary State Secondary College is seeking an experienced educator to undertake the role of Behaviour Coach, commencing in 2027. The successful applicant will collaborate with the leadership team, teaching staff and student support personnel to strengthen school-wide behaviour management and improve student engagement and learning outcomes.

The role focuses on leading Tier 2 and Tier 3 behaviour intervention programs, supporting students to develop skills for engagement in mainstream

Qualifications

A relevant teaching qualification.
Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration in Queensland.
Exemption card from Blue Card Services for teachers (in s and State Delivered Kindergarten programs).

Responsibilities

Lead development, implementation and evaluation of targeted behaviour intervention and student re-engagement programs.
Provide coaching, mentoring and professional development to strengthen staff capability in classroom behaviour management.
Promote restorative practices and support reintegration of students into classroom learning.
Support individual student case management, including behaviour support planning and risk assessments.
Use student behaviour, engagement and achievement data to evaluate interventions and inform improvements.
Build positive relationships with students, families and staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
