Crown Equipment – Mackay, QLD is seeking a Field Forklift Mechanic / Service Technician. The role offers a 4-8 week training program, a fully maintained company van, mobile phone and tablet, and pays AUD 41–47 per hour plus super, with overtime opportunities.

• Carry out scheduled servicing, safety checks and repairs in a dedicated territory.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance to keep equipment running with minimum downtime.
• Manage daily work schedule using field-based mobile technology.
• Keep accurate service records of work performed.
• Maintain the serviced van and tools.
• Provide high-level customer service and support to solve material handling needs.

As a Crown Field Service Technician, you will enjoy variety, autonomy and daily problem solving as you:

• Complete a 4-8 week industry leading training program
• Carry out scheduled servicing, safety checks and repairs of equipment in a dedicated territory
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance, responding quickly to breakdowns and keeping customers running and downtime to a minimum
• Manage your daily work schedule efficiently using our field based mobile technology
• Accurately maintain important service records of work performed by you
• Maintain your fully stocked service van
• Be part of the service team and provide high level customer service to help our customers solve their material handling needs
• Join the leading forklift service business in Australia

All while being supported by an experienced team. Your role will play a significant part in the company's growth and overall success by delivering quality service to our customers whilst performing scheduled maintenance, safety and function checks.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude, you enjoy fault finding and fixing things
• Ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team
• Strong communication and customer service skills, this is a customer facing role in the Field
