Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter for Sandbar, our beachfront venue in Surfers Paradise. This role offers 20-25 hours per week, primarily breakfast shifts from about 8am to 2pm, with casual hours to fit your lifestyle.

You’ll support the kitchen team with cleaning, dishwashing, stock movements and hygiene, working in a fast-paced environment by the beach. Prior kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred, but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the kitchen team with cleaning and general kitchen duties.
• Washing dishes, pots and pans.
• Keeping the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean and organised.
• Assisting with deliveries, stock movement and rubbish removal.
• Helping the chefs with basic kitchen tasks when required.
• Following food safety and workplace hygiene standards.
• Working as part of a fast-paced and supportive kitchen team.
