Heidelberg Materials operates a busy concrete batching plant in Rockhampton, Queensland. We are seeking a Batcher in Charge to oversee daily batching, weigh materials, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in concrete batching or similar heavy industry operations.
• Understanding of mix designs and quality control procedures.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Front End Loader Ticket is advantageous.
• A current valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the batching plant and associated equipment.
• Accurately measure and weigh raw materials according to mix designs.
• Monitor and control the batching process to ensure product quality.
• Perform routine quality checks on concrete mixes (slump tests, sampling).
• Coordinate with dispatch and delivery teams to ensure timely loading and dispatch of concrete trucks.
• Maintain production records and equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
