As one of the largest aeromedical organizations in the world, RFDS delivers vital care where mainstream health services are limited or unavailable. The organization uses advanced aviation, medical, and communications technology supported by an extensive ground-service fleet to reach diverse and isolated populations. Backed by a large network of volunteers and supporters, RFDS has been a trusted lifeline for those who live, work, and travel across remote Australia for more than ninety years.
