Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a trusted adviser to deliver high-quality business advisory services. You will analyse complex financial information, provide strategic insights, and support a team of emerging professionals to drive client outcomes and firm success.

You will prepare BAS/IAS, assist with financial statements and tax returns, and mentor junior staff while liaising with Partners on engagements. A collaborative, growth-focused environment awaits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BAS and IAS on monthly/quarterly basis.
• Review statements prepared by team members.
• Ensure compliance with ATO lodgement program for Activity Statements.
• Provide payroll, superannuation, and bookkeeping support to clients.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
• Mentor junior staff and liaise with Partners on client engagements.
• Share knowledge and industry insights to support team development.

About The Role

As a trusted advisor to clients, you will leverage your technical expertise to deliver high‑quality business advisory services. You’ll analyse complex financial information, provide strategic insights, and help clients navigate opportunities and challenges with confidence. In addition, you’ll support a team of emerging professionals, supporting their development while driving outstanding client outcomes and contributing to the Firm’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements on a monthly and quarterly basis as required.
• Review activity statements prepared by other team members.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with ATO lodgement program for Activity Statements.
• Provide Payroll, Superannuation and bookkeeping support to clients as required.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage team workflow, mentor junior staff, and liaise closely with Partners on client engagements.
• Share technical knowledge and industry insights to support team development and excellence.
