About The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will go beyond traditional number-crunching, providing valuable insights that help our clients thrive. In this role you will analyse financial information, prepare financial reports, and maintain meticulous records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for the Firm’s clients.

Beyond the numbers, you’ll collaborate closely with Partners and mentor junior team members, making a meaningful impact both internally and externally. What sets us apart is our office culture, one that fosters teamwork, celebrates achievements and encourages professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, concise and accurate work papers, that serve as evidence of work performed and the foundation for decision making;
• Apply your knowledge of the clients business environment and industry positioning to deliver tailored advice;
• Act as a mentor/buddy to graduates, sharing your knowledge and helping them with their work, to shape the next generation of accountants;
• Prepare financial statements that comply with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
• Prepare documentation for Partners for client meetings and presentation ;
• Research, identify and resolve all complex accounting issues;
• Prepare and analyse management accounting reports; and
• Conduct detailed reviews of tax and FBT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

About You

Education Requirements:

Essential

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major

Desirable

• Completion of CA or equivalent

Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

• 2 to 4 years in a similar role
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Committed to continuing professional development

Salary: Between $86,000 - $103,000 (including super), based on experience
