Job summary

Sofitel Brisbane Central in Brisbane City is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our Cuvee Lounge Bar team. You will craft cocktails, engage guests with expert service, and maintain a pristine bar area in a luxury setting.

Ideal candidates have bartending experience in upscale venues, RSA certification, and a passion for mixology. Shift flexibility including nights and weekends is required. Accor benefits and staff perks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as bartender in upscale lounge or cocktail bar.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
• RSA certification required.
• Barista course and WSET training preferable.
• Expert mixology knowledge and current cocktail trends.
• Food and beverage pairing knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent customer service with fluent English.
• Strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Engage with customers, provide recommendations and answer questions about the menu.
• Maintain a clean bar area and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Process orders and handle cash/credit card transactions using the POS system.
• Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure timely food service.
• Monitor and manage bar inventory, place orders as needed.
• Assist in creating new cocktails and seasonal specials.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service and local regulations.

Our sophisticated Cuvee Lounge Bar, located in the heart of Brisbane City, is seeking a skilled and charismatic Bartenders to join our team. Create memorable mixology whilst indulging your curiosity and passion for different flavours and ingredients. Extending your knowledge of cocktails, spirits and beers, you can delight guests with new taste experiences. What you will be doing:

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, wines, and spirits
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about our menu offerings
• Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Accurately process customer orders and handle cash and credit card transactions using our POS system
• Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure timely and efficient food service
• Monitor and maintain bar inventory, placing orders for supplies as needed
• Assist in creating new cocktail recipes and seasonal drink specials
• Ensure adherence to responsible alcohol service practices and local regulations.

Qualifications

You’ll excel in this role if you have:

• Proven experience as a bartender, preferably in an upscale lounge or cocktail bar setting
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
• Completion of a Barista courseand Wine andSpirit (WSET) training is preferable
• Expert knowledge of mixology techniques and current cocktail trends
• Knowledge of food and beverage pairing is a plus
• Passion for excellent customer service, with the ability to communicate fluently in English
• Strong multitasking abilities and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
