Job summary

Pastuso in Melbourne's CBD is looking for a Casual Bartender to join the team during the busy summer season. You will work across the bar, serving cocktails, wine and beer with a focus on high-quality service.

The role offers hourly rates ($33.85–$67.70), generous tips, and staff incentives. 1–2 years’ bartending experience, a Victorian RSA, and 30–38 hours per week availability between November and February are required.

Position Available

Casual Bartender – Restaurant Award Level 2

We’re looking for a Casual Bartender to join the Pastuso team, with plenty of hours available as we head into our busy summer period:

Now–October: approximately 15–20 hours per week

November–February: approximately 30–38 hours per week

This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for consistent casual work now, with the opportunity to pick up close to full‑time hours over summer.

Monday–Friday: $33.85 per hour
Saturday: $40.62 per hour
Sunday: $40.62 per hour
Public Holidays: $67.70 per hour

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

Preparing and serving cocktails, spirits, wine and beer to a consistently high standard in a busy restaurant environment

Providing warm, engaging service, confidently making recommendations and developing your knowledge of Pisco and Latin American spirits

Keeping the bar organised, stocked and running smoothly while working closely with the wider FOH team throughout service

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 1–2 years’ bartending experience in a busy restaurant, cocktail bar or similar hospitality environment, with strong cocktail‑making skills and beverage knowledge

Confidence working efficiently behind the bar during busy services while maintaining quality, consistency and attention to detail

A current Victorian RSA and availability to work 30–38 hours per week between November and February
