Qualifications

• Barista experience — ideally in a busy café or restaurant.
• Front of house experience with solid customer service chops.
• Know-how with coffee machine settings and maintenance.
• An eye for detail when it comes to presentation.
• The ability to keep cool and move quickly when busy.

Responsibilities

• Pulling shots and crafting coffee that tastes and looks great.
• Keeping the machine running smoothly with regular upkeep.
• Chatting with guests, taking orders, and ensuring guests feel welcome.
• Keeping your station clean and compliant with health & safety standards.
• Monitoring stock levels and flagging shortages to your supervisor.
• Working as a team to maintain flow during rush periods.

Good coffee, good people, good energy — that's the vibe at This Way Canteen. As our Barista, you'll be behind the machine crafting espresso that keeps our regulars coming back, while helping guests enjoy great food, coffee and company from morning through lunch in our iconic CBD spot.

We move fast here, but we move together. The team works like a well-oiled machine, everyone pitches in, the music's always up, and the shifts fly by. It's busy, it's fun, and it's a great place to sharpen your skills behind the bar.

What You'll Be Doing

• Pulling shots and crafting coffee that actually tastes (and looks) great
• Keeping the machine running smoothly with regular upkeep and maintenance
• Chatting with guests, taking orders, and making everyone feel looked afterKeeping your station clean, tidy and up to health & safety standards
• Helping keep an eye on stock levels and flagging shortages to your supervisor
• Working as a team to keep things flowing during the rush
