Job summary

KG Sports Bar, a brand new American sports bar in Brisbane, is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead and develop a high-energy team and deliver big game day experiences across the venue.

You will supervise service standards, optimize productivity, coordinate daily operations, and collaborate on seasonal activations to meet revenue targets. A strong hospitality mindset and RSA are essential, with a passion for sports and guest energy.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in leading hospitality teams.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
• Advanced knowledge of beer, wine & spirits.
• RSA certification is required.

KG Sports Bar is a brand new American sports bar located on the intersection of King George Square, built for big games, big moments and a full-room atmosphere.

The venue brings together large screen walls, premium sound, cold beer and classic American bar food in a high-energy environment designed around live sport.

From NRL and AFL through to UFC, NFL, NBA and NHL, KG Sports Bar delivers a big game atmosphere from siren to siren, with a strong event calendar where timing, teamwork and consistency matter.

Job Description

We are seeking energetic leaders to join the team at KG Sports Bar as Bar Supervisor.

This is a role focused on delivering big game day experiences – every day. Ensuring the team deliver a high standard of service across the venue. Your background in a similar role will allow you to excel & enjoy every shift to create a venue that thrives.

What is the role all about -

• Build, lead and develop the team
• Supervise the operations of KG Sports Bar & ensure that the service is in line with outlined standards
• Closely monitor & maintain productivity across the venue
• Coordinate the team and daily operations to ensure service standards are consistently achieved.
• Work collaboratively to ensure seasonal & focused activations are executed to ensure revenue expectations are achieved.
• Build a working environment that is fun, purpose driven, professional & productive.
• HIGA Award rates are applicable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in a similar role
• Strong people leadership capabilities
• Advanced knowledge of beer, wine & spirits,
• A drive to succeed
• Strong time management & organisational skills
• Understanding of a busy bar operation
• A genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
• A strong interest & understanding of local & international sports
• A valid RSA
