Job summary

Royal Queensland Golf Club – Eagle Farm QLD is seeking a Lead Bar Supervisor to manage daily front-of-house and bar operations, oversee staff, and deliver high-standard service for Members and guests.

You will supervise recruitment, onboarding and mentoring of bar and casual staff, ensure compliance with liquor laws, and coordinate private events. Applicants should demonstrate strong service excellence and stock control abilities.

• Demonstrated service excellence and high Member feedback ratings.
• Strict adherence to Liquor Licensing and health and safety standards.
• Capability to conduct precise stocktakes and secure stock storage.
• Ability to ensure seamless, fully staffed events delivered on time and presented to Club standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, recruit, onboard and mentor bar and casual floor staff
• Maintain high service standards and foster a positive high performing team culture
• Collaborate with the House Manager on staff training, development and performance management
• Deliver hands-on daily service of food and beverage
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cleanliness and presentation standards
• Ensure POS and bar IT systems operate smoothly
• Partner with the other bar supervisor to coordinate and execute Member functions, corporate golf days, and private events
• Ensure correct room setups, rostering, and inter-departmental communication
• Build rapport with Members to capture feedback and encourage event bookings
• Order beverages and Clubhouse supplies as directed

Key responsibilities
