The Workers Club in Fitzroy, Melbourne is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead our front‑of‑house team and drive exceptional guest experiences at one of Australia’s premier live music venues.

You will oversee staff recruitment, training and rostering, ensure licensing and safety compliance, manage budgets and promotions, and coordinate events with bands to maximise revenue while maintaining high standards across the venue.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and POS systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Financial acumen including budgeting and wastage control.
• Understanding licensing laws, health and safety, and RSA obligations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and make decisions.
• Oversee beer and gas system maintenance.
