The Mansfield Hotel in Mansfield, Victoria is seeking a Bar Manager to oversee daily bar operations and lead a hands-on front-of-house team. You will work closely with owners and management to deliver quality service, wine, beer and cocktails knowledge, and ongoing staff development.

This role offers immediate start within a family-owned venue. Relocation assistance is available, and sponsorship opportunities may be considered for eligible applicants, with a focus on delivering memorable guest

This position is highly hands on, overseeing the day to day running of the Bar.

About the Role:

The hotel is currently looking for an Bar Managerwho is both passionate and knowledgeable.

You will support our General Manager, working closely with the hotel owners and both front and back of house staff to ensure a quality product and a superior guest experience.

This position will be key in training our team on service - wine, beer and cocktail knowledge whilst also bringing new ideas to the table.

It will also give the right candidate the ability to further develop their skills and progress to other management opportunities

About you:

Previous experience in a similar role

Motivated and hands on

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop your team

Your duties will include:

Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the pub

Customer service to encourage return visitation, nurturing relationships with our locals and regular customers

Management of bar staff, including recruiting, training, scheduling and performance

Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines

Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the offerings in the bar

Planning and management of events / functions

Till operation and cash handling

Adhere to company policies

Ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams

Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock control

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a hospitality management role (pub or hotel experience preferred)

Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment

A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

Experience in developing staff training, mentorship and creating a great culture

Experience with budgeting, ordering, and inventory control

The ability to remain calm and can work well under pressure

Happy working weekends and nights
