Job summary

The Mansfield Hotel in Mansfield, Victoria is seeking a Bar Manager to oversee daily bar operations and lead a hands-on front-of-house team. You will work closely with owners and management to deliver quality service, wine, beer and cocktails knowledge, and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hospitality management (pub or hotel)
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Experience developing staff training and fostering a great culture
• Experience with budgeting, ordering and inventory control

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the pub
• Oversee customer service to encourage return visitation
• Manage bar staff: recruiting, training, scheduling, performance
• Ensure licensing, hygiene and health and safety compliance
• Improve operations and develop bar offerings
• Plan and manage events/functions
• Till operation and cash handling
• Coordinate front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Oversee inventory, ordering and stock control
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
