Job summary

Waymark Hotels’ Commercial Hotel in Kingaroy, QLD, is seeking a friendly hospitality teammate who blends bar service with courtesy bus duties. You'll deliver great service, handle drinks, take orders, and drive the venue's courtesy bus, ensuring safe, comfortable travel for guests.

This casual role offers roster flexibility, Tues–Sat shifts up to 30 hours weekly, on-site work, and opportunities for cross-training and career development within a supportive, community-focused venue.

Qualifications

• RSA certificate required.
• Current and valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Knowledge of local roads is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Take food and beverage orders and process payments.
• Provide table service and assist with food running when required.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and stock levels.
• Support the team during busy service periods.
• Operate the courtesy bus on designated routes and ensure passenger safety.
• Maintain the courtesy bus presentation and cleanliness.
• Adhere to venue policies, RSA requirements and road safety regulations.

About the Role

This position combines bar service and courtesy bus driving duties. You'll provide excellent customer service inside the venue while also ensuring patrons travel safely to and from the hotel.

No two shifts are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and engaging with people.

What We're Looking For

• Previous bar or hospitality experience preferred
• Current RSA Certificate
• Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Knowledge of local roads and safe driving practices is advantageous
• A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
