Job summary

Royal Oak Hotel is seeking a casual Bar Attendant to join our Upstairs Bar/Function team in Sydney. You will greet customers, pour a wide range of beverages, and ensure a clean, welcoming bar environment.

Applicants should have at least 2 years in bar or hospitality, strong customer service, RSA certification, and be able to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Proficiency with IdealPOS and cash handling is preferred.

As a casual Bar Attendant at the Royal Oak Hotel, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating an enjoyable atmosphere for guests. This is a great opportunity to join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality in a vibrant and friendly environment.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner

Preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Maintaining a clean and organised bar area

Adhering to all relevant licensing laws and regulations

Assisting with inventory management and stock control

Working collaboratively with the wider hospitality team to ensure a positive customer experience

Taking drink and food orders at the bar

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in a bar or similar hospitality role

Minimum of 2+ years previous bar or hospitality experience required

Strong customer service skills and a welcoming, friendly personality

Excellent knowledge of a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure

Familiarity with relevant liquor licensing laws and regulations

Current RSA certification must be held at the time of application

TAB/Keno experience an advantage

Must be available to work any shifts as required (available 24/7)

Skilled at using tills (IdealPOS), eftpos and cash handling
