People First Bank is seeking an experienced Release Manager to join our Release & Environments Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential extension or permanency, based in Australia. You will plan, coordinate, and govern technology releases across projects, BAU changes, and vendors, ensuring minimal disruption and clear accountability.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Release Management, Change Management, Delivery, DevOps, or Technology Operations.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating complex technology releases across multiple teams.
• Working knowledge of ITIL, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and service transition practices.
• Strong planning, facilitation, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Release Planning & Coordination: develop and maintain release plans, milestones, dependencies, schedules and resources.
• Readiness & Assurance: lead readiness reviews and secure testing, security, risk, architecture and operational approvals.
• Release Execution: own release run sheets, coordinate implementation within approved windows, and manage go/no-go decisions.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement: provide timely communications and drive lessons learned and framework enhancements.
