Job summary

Hamilton Locke is seeking a lawyer to join our national Finance practice, focusing on debt-related transactions across lender and borrower sides in Australia. You will work with a team that handles corporate financings, asset-backed financings, leases, and securitisations, with exposure to high-profile clients.

You will develop drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills under senior mentoring, while enjoying a collaborative team culture and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Has a minimum 1 to 2 years' post-admission experience in a banking and finance practice in Australia or internationally.
• Has a commercial and solutions-focused approach and a grounding in legal drafting.
• Has a collaborative working style, with a genuine interest in developing personally and professionally in our growing Finance practice.
• Is looking for a fantastic team culture.

Responsibilities

• Work on challenging debt-related transactions with direct client contact.
• Receive mentoring from senior lawyers and partners to develop drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills.
• Contribute to a broad range of matters including corporate financings, asset-backed transactions, real estate financings, restructurings, leverage and acquisition financings, and securitisations.
