The role

We’re on the lookout for a lawyer to join our growing national Finance practice. Our Finance practice specialises on all aspects of debt-related transactions with a particular focus on Australia’s fast-growing alternative lending market. Our client base includes leading private credit funds, investment banks, Australian and international financial institutions and corporate borrowers – giving you exposure to both lender-side and borrower-side transactions. The team has a broad wealth of experience in, and we regularly advise on, corporate financings, asset-backed transactions, real estate financings, restructurings, special situations, leverage and acquisition financings, and securitisations.

As a member of the team, you will work on challenging and rewarding debt-related transactions, with direct client contact and exposure to a broad range of matters. With mentoring from senior lawyers and partners, you will develop your drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a minimum 1 to 2 years' post-admission experience in a banking and finance practice in Australia or internationally;
• Has a commercial and solutions-focused approach and a grounding in legal drafting;
• Has a collaborative working style, with a genuine interest in developing personally and professionally in our growing Finance practice; and
• Is looking for a fantastic team culture.
