Job summary

Dulwich Bakery is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our bakery/cafe operations at one of our stores. We have opportunities at one location immediately and various locations that will become available later in the year.

In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of passionate retail professionals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar leadership role in food retail.
• Strong store operations skills with ability to set and achieve targets.
• Excellent customer service orientation and ability to lead a team.
• Knowledge of inventory management and store presentation best practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day store operations with focus on sales, customer service, scheduling, inventory and cash handling.
• Drive sales growth through store displays and product mix, ensuring stock is available and presented invitingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety protocols.
• Recruit, train and develop retail staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Collaborate with head office on marketing and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and empower staff with independence.
