Job summary

Kogan People Solutions is recruiting for a busy bakery in Minlaton, SA. The Retail Manager will lead day-to-day shop operations, drive profitability and ensure high standards of service and food safety.

Key duties include managing staff, budgets, stock, promotions and customer enquiries, while maintaining WHS compliance and effective supplier relationships. A Diploma or higher in Business/Management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Business/Management or related field.
• Experience managing a busy food retail operation such as bakery, supermarket or quick-service restaurant.
• Experience with budgeting, sales reporting and cost control.
• Experience with stock ordering, inventory control and suppliers.
• Experience recruiting, rostering and supervising staff.
• Sound knowledge of food safety and WHS requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily retail operations.
• Monitor budget, sales and costs.
• Plan product ranges, display, pricing and promotions in consultation with owners and production staff.
• Order stock and supplies, manage supplier relationships, and control stock levels and wastage.
• Recruit, train, roster and supervise retail staff, and manage performance and payroll records.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, WHS and other regulatory requirements.
• Handle customer enquiries, special orders and complaints.
• Maintain point-of-sale and ordering systems and improve shop procedures.
