Job summary

Best Practice Software in Australia is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build and operate the Azure platform for our cloud products. You’ll create landing zones, networking, container platforms, and delivery pipelines written in Bicep and Terraform, and maintain them for reliability.

You’ll collaborate with the Cloud Infrastructure team and product engineers daily, ensuring scalable, secure and cost-efficient operations across production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

• Commercial platform, DevOps or cloud infrastructure experience, typically three years or more.
• Azure in production across the stack: you’ve designed and run real workloads.
• Strong Azure networking with hub-and-spoke, VNets and peering.

Responsibilities

• Design the landing zones, identity, networking, and compute for the Azure platform.
• Build and operate container platforms across AKS and Azure Container Apps.
• Define the code as source of truth with Bicep and Terraform.
• Develop guardrails with Policy as Code and Cost/performance optimization.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning end to end.
• Maintain monitoring, alerts, backups and on-call readiness.
