Job summary

Xceltium is seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps Engineer to help build, automate and operate a modern Azure platform for our Sydney-based client. You’ll work hands-on across infrastructure, compute, networking, storage and platform services, delivering production-ready environments.

You’ll implement IaC using Bicep/ARM/Terraform, create CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and establish governance, security and monitoring across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years across cloud, DevOps or platform engineering.
• Infrastructure-as-code using Bicep, ARM or Terraform.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Practical knowledge across Azure networking, identity, security and monitoring.
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar.
• Strong technical judgement and the confidence to work with architects and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Build Azure infrastructure as code, with Bicep as the preferred approach.
• Engineer Azure compute, networking, storage, App Services and platform services.
• Build CI/CD pipelines across build, testing, approvals, release and rollback.
• Establish consistent non-production and production environments.
• Implement identity, access, secrets management and network security controls.
• Build monitoring, logging and alerting using Azure Monitor/Log Analytics/Application Insights.
• Establish backup, high availability and disaster recovery capability.
• Apply Azure governance, policy, tagging and cost-management practices.
• Automate operational and platform activities; produce technical docs and handover.
