Job summary

Hampshire Property Group is seeking an Integration Engineer to build and maintain connections between our core systems across Australia and New Zealand. You will implement production-grade data movement, secure APIs, and data feeds for reporting, analytics and AI applications.

You will work within a small AI Engineering team, using Azure Function Apps, Entra ID and containerized deployments to deliver reliable, compliant integrations with strong security controls and operational discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building and operating integrations in production.
• Strong Python and SQL hands-on capability.
• Thorough OAuth 2.0 and API security knowledge.
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and retries.
• Azure experience especially Function Apps and Entra ID.
• REST APIs, webhooks and event-driven integrations.
• Container deployment and CI/CD practices.
• Automated integration testing and recovery handling.
• AI/LLM integration experience with vector/search tooling.
• Detail-oriented data mapping and reconciliation.
• Clear documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to translate requirements into design with limited supervision.
• Judgement on data privacy, security and compliance.
• Collaborative, adaptable, secure engineering practices.
• Current right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy integrations between business apps in AU/NZ.
• Design solutions using Azure services and API management.
• Analyse source/target systems and document mappings.
• Apply enterprise integration patterns and reliable delivery.
• Create secure API endpoints and event-driven patterns.
• Utilise Entra ID and access controls to protect integrations.
• Maintain MCP servers and approved endpoints for AI apps.
• Containerize and deploy integration services with config artefacts.
• Produce data feeds for data lake or downstream platforms.
• Develop AI data movement, indexing and retrieval quality checks.
• Validate changes in non-prod with stakeholder sign-off.
• Monitor production deployments and respond to failures.
• Document runbooks, issue records and handover packs.
• Apply secrets management and least-privilege access.
• Collaborate with product, data and business stakeholders.
