Job summary

Talent International in Sydney is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer on a 12-month contract to join a delivery team. The role requires NV1 security clearance and strong Azure experience, with a hybrid setup (3 days per week in the Sydney office).

The successful candidate will design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage build and deployment processes, and apply infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM or Bicep.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or a similar role.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, ARM, Bicep or similar.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• PowerShell, Bash or similar scripting skills.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimise build, release and deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automate environment provisioning.
• Support Azure cloud and containerised environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability and reliability.
• Implement security, compliance and governance controls.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure and environment issues.
• Work closely with development and operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across DevOps tooling and automation.
